Fees

A written quote and a defined scope, before anything starts.

We don't quote a price until we understand the matter, and we don't start work until you have the fee, the scope and the exclusions in writing. That is both how we prefer to work and what the Code of Conduct requires.

  • Pre-assessment costs nothing
  • Professional fees quoted in writing for a defined scope
  • Government charges and third-party costs itemised separately
What you'll pay

Four separate cost layers — only one of them is ours.

Most confusion about migration costs comes from mixing these together. They are charged by different parties, at different times, and only the first is a professional fee.

Professional fees

Paid to us

Quoted in writing for a defined scope of work before any work begins, as required by the Code of Conduct.

Government charges

Paid to the Commonwealth

Visa Application Charges, nomination and sponsorship fees, and citizenship fees are set by the Australian Government and are indexed.

Third-party costs

Paid to providers

Skills assessments, English tests, health examinations, police certificates, translations and document certification.

Tribunal fees

Paid to the ART

Review applications carry an application fee set by the Administrative Review Tribunal, separate from professional fees.

This is an indicative guide only. It is not immigration assistance and does not constitute advice about your individual circumstances.

The process

How a fee is agreed.

01

Pre-assessment — no fee

The pre-assessment form costs nothing. It gives us the facts we need to decide whether a viable pathway exists before anyone commits to anything.

02

Consultation

Where a consultation is warranted, the fee for it is confirmed before you book. Consultations are advice sessions, not sales meetings, and you leave with a position on your options.

03

Written quote and scope

If we take the matter on, you receive a written agreement setting out the services, the fee, what is excluded, and how and when payment is made. Nothing starts before you have it.

04

Disbursements listed separately

Government charges and third-party costs are identified separately so you can see what is a professional fee and what is a cost we simply pass through.

05

Changes are re-quoted

If your circumstances change or the matter expands beyond the agreed scope — a new stream, a review application, additional family members — we quote the additional work before doing it.

06

Records and receipts

We keep the file records and issue receipts the Code of Conduct requires, and client money is handled in accordance with those obligations.

Your protections

What the Code of Conduct requires of us.

Registered migration agents work under the Code of Conduct for Registered Migration Agents, current from 1 March 2022. Among other things, it requires an agent to give clients a written statement of services and fees, to keep proper records and receipts, to handle client money correctly, to avoid conflicts of interest, and to advise clients honestly about their prospects.

It also prohibits guaranteeing outcomes. No agent can promise you a visa: the decision belongs to the Department of Home Affairs. If you are ever told otherwise, treat it as a warning.

If you believe an agent has breached the Code, you can complain to the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority, which regulates the profession.
